"On behalf of Expert Village, I am Benjamin Ford Asriel. I'm with Dance Lab NYC here at Stepping Out Studios and today we'll be talking about Post Modern Dance. So really the idea of Post Modern Dance is not particularly descriptive, rather it's trying to organize many totally different, completely unique ways of moving into something that is identifiable. Something that is identifiable is not modern, not ballet, not ethnic dance, but rather a contemporary dance or a post modern dance, a dance that's come after the modern techniques. So it can be anything from modern afrocarribean dance to release work to incredibly physical almost acrobatic in Ariel dance to just the kind of floor work that I teach you here. So it could look like anything, so what you're going to see here is not necessarily indicative of anything else that anyone else would say is post modern and contemporary."
