When using protools you will need to buy hardware that is specifically designed to run with protools. What we are using here then showing here today is called an inbox and it is desidned to run protools. It has inputs for two microphones, it has inputs for phono and inputs alternately for instrument cables. It has a preamp in there designed to work with protools and has a USB out so that your computer can recognize the in box. Now you don't necessarily have to go with protools. There are many other software components to use, many other hardware components to use. However if you are using protools we will be demonstrating a little bit today.
