"If you already have a computer that is fast enough and has enough memory to store all of your data, the next thing to consider of course is your software. We will get into that a little bit more detailed later. When you choose your software it is important to know that you also might need some kind of control interface. Mini control interface features a mike preamp and most control interfaces utilize USB connections Sometimes use firewire. Therefore your computer must also have USB and/or firewire inputs in order to utilize those control interfaces. Control interfaces will utilize information and data which controls both the power that the microphone is getting, the amount of sound that you will be recording and different information regarding mixes that you've done either on your computer or in the hardware of the control interface itself. "
