"ATHENA REICH: In this segment I'm going to talk about how to help sell your CDs during your tour, how to push your CDs. Look you're not making a lot of money so there's no point on going on tour if you don't get fans and push it a little bit, push your sales a little bit. So don't just stick the CDs on the merch table but during your show give yourself an honest little humble plug however you feel comfortable. I mean sometimes I'll play a song and I'll say, "That song is on my new album. I'm so excited about my new album for this reason and this reason and this reason-this reason, I have it up, I show it during the show so they see it's a legitimate CD, it's not just something I made in the basement which nothing wrong with that but like a lot of work and a lot of money was put into this. So plug your CD during your set. Do not forget to do that because you will go home depressed you'll think "No one bought my CD" and you know why? It's not because you're not good, it's 'cause you didn't plug it. So in the middle of your set find an imaginative, creative, comf--way that you feel comfortable to plug your CD."
