"ATHENA REICH: In this part I'm going to talk about getting a great merch display. You can just put your CDs on the table but I always like to do a fancy merch display if you think about your fans as flies and you want to make a light so that you attract them towards the light. So I like to make this really pretty--I made this merch stand and I actually just went to Home Depot when I bought--this is just a regular shelf and I had them cut it. And I spray painted it black. You can get glass lining, this is glass lining and you can get it you know at Home Depot. And I have my CDs, I have four albums out there and I just taped it there, I have t-shirts. It's important to get merch--this is really how you're going to make money. You're not making a lot of money from the venues but if you make--you can get your logo put on t-shirts, this is American Apparel shirts which is Sweatshop free. And I have stickers that I got made with my logo. I have postcards that people can take home with my website on the back, my mailing list; so have fun make a beautiful merch display. Attract the fans and the consumers like flies."
