"ATHENA REICH: In this segment, I'm going to talk about how to organize a system of data, all the data you're collecting so that things don't get completely chaotic 'cause very soon, you're going to have lists of venues and their names and their numbers and you're going to need a way to organize this. My personal favorite way of organizing things is to use the software program called Indie Band Manager. It's made for musicians and it--it's just--it's laid out and it's organized. But really, you can use any data organizational software. You can even use an old fashioned binder with paper, have one page per venue where you--you have the name and the address and information like that. But listen, you need to organize a system or you're never going to get through the chaos of booking your tour. So, I can't emphasize enough thinking ahead of time about how you're going to organize all the information about the people that you're contacting, what they said to you, their addresses, things like these. There's nothing really more important than organizing all of this information."
