"ATHENA REICH: In this clip, I'm going to talk about how to plan your music tour route. Sometimes the scariest and the biggest step is actually to just get your mega roadmap, open it up and literally, randomly, choose your route. I like to use this driving portion of the map because it says--it says how--in blue, how many hours it takes to drive. So, it's pretty laid out for me. So, I think, "Oh, New York." And then it says, "Oh, it's two hours and a half to Scranton, Pennsylvania." for example. When--just plan a route. Think I'm--it's arbitrary. You just have to do it. It's scary but it's weird but it's arbitrary and you just do it. You say, "I'm going to tour for a week." I'm going to do five or six shows a week. I'm going to not drive more than four or five hours in one day while doing a show. Plan it out, make it random, go to places where you might know people, plan the route. Just do it."
