"ATHENA REICH: In this clip, I'm going to talk about how to prepare your musical theater book. You need a variety of songs in different genres, up tempo, ballads, comedic, dramatic. So, you need to have your--I have here my "Acid Queen", I have. That's my great high-belt pop rock song. Then I have some comedy, this is from "Falsettos," a comedy contemporary musical theater you need. I have some roles that I think I would be good for. I think that I would be a really great Elphaba in "Wicked" so I have "Defying Gravity" prepared, ready to go in case I ever get a callback for that. I have my jazz standard, I have my rock, my pop, my contemporary music [INDISCERNIBLE], my legit [SOUNDS LIKE] range for my soprano, and then I have my belt, my legit belt and then my legit soprano and I have--basically, I have a variety, because sometimes you go to an audition, they ask for one song and they want to see a second, even a third if you're lucky."
