"In this clip I'm going to talk about what to do with this little thing called a pick. You can strum with your finger or you can strum with a pick. This is a pick where you hold it, put it gently right there, and my thumb there. I don't need to squeeze it, just hold it gently but firmly. Here I go! It gives a bit of a stronger, louder sound. I'm still loose and relaxed, I'm doing my down strokes. Down up, down up, down up. If you're getting buzzing, if it begins to sound like this, what?s going on? You want to look at your fingers over here and make sure that you're pushing really hard on the three strings that you're suppose to push and that accidentally one of your fingers is not touching another string. Accidentally this could be touching this and that would make a sound like this. Right? So you want to be really clear, push very strong, eventually you'll build up calluses. Press the strings that you're supposed to push and don't press any strings that you're not supposed to push."
