"In this section I'm going to talk about the parts of the guitar. We have here 6 strings. Some guitars have 12 strings, most guitars have 6 strings. These are 6 strings, and we count them from bottom to top. String number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Now, what are they, what notes are they? There's a little saying, it's very popular, very easy. It goes, Eddie Ate Dynomite GoodBye Eddie. It's very tragic, but this tragic little sentence helps us remember the notes of the strings. Eddie Ate Dynomite GoodBye Eddie. So that means this is an E for Eddie, Ate- A, Dynomite- D, GoodBye Eddie. So this is E, A, D, good, G, B, D. Now, these are called frets, right along here, these little like spaces. There's a line, fret 1, fret 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. Some people want to know what these dots are for here, these dots. They're just to orient you. On my guitar, for example, the first dot is on the what? The 1, 2, 3, 4, fifth fret It's just to orient you. So, you've got your frets, your strings. That's the guitar."
