How to Use the Sequencer on the Akai MPC 2000XL Drum Machine

"Hi, I’m Amir from Precision Audio Productions and on behalf of Expert Village we’re going to talk about the MPC 2000XL sequencer. What the sequencer does is take all the different sequences that you have and allows you to put them in a different order, repeat different sequences over in different orders and stream them out into a length of a song. And how you do that is you take sequence one, sequence two or however you name your sequences, you press shift and song and using the data wheel, turn to a sequence that you want is shown, go over to wraps and use the data wheel to enter your number of times you want it to repeat, press down, going over, I go over to where it says sequence, choose what sequence you want, come back over to wraps and choose the number of times you want to repeat. You have the option of having a song loop over and over again or not, you can change the tempo and delete any sequence that you don’t want in there, you convert it to song mode or not in there. You insert same sequence and then later change it, in the end it’ll be strung out into a full song in the order that you choose. I’m Amir from Precision Audio Productions, thank you very much. "
