"Hi there! I'm Amy Wallace on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to be discussing how to be a good movie critic or more importantly, how to start out as a movie critic with a budget. As we discussed in our previous clip, the most ideal way to view a film that you are going to be critiqueing is at the movie theater. Now one of the most important things about going to the theater that you are going to be critiqueing is to go it alone. It may seem a little daunting at first and that is completely natural. One little trick I like to tell people is even if you are not going to be using it, take a notebook with you. Everyone will know why you are there that way. If you are going to be taking notes during a film, try to make sure that you take your notes during a bright scene when you can see your notebook just fine and when you don't need your penlight which we will discussing in our next episode. The main point to this is that you don't want to be disrupting the other viewers around you in the theater. Let's not forget when we are writing a criticism of a film, the main thing that we are worried about or we are trying to inform, is that we are writing for people. We want to enhance their film viewing, we don't want to disrupt. So it is best that we just keep to ourselves and try not to disrupt them during their own viewing of a film. "
