"Hi, I'm Aaron Bland on behalf of Expert Village and I'm going to demonstrate a tambourine roll or very fast playing on the tambourine. I just showed you the side to side motion. You get that worked up to speed and the notes or the timing, the rhythmic intervals of when the jangles hit the side of the tambourine start to become more indistinguishable. Kind of like a rattlesnake's tail. You're just getting that rattle. So it can be played that way. It could also be played, now I just demonstrated the side to side motion very quickly. You could also do kind of a wrist twisting motion like that, kind of like the motion you would use if you were turning a doorknob. I'm kind of exaggerating that, but if you make that motion smaller and quicker, there's your tambourine roll. And you can roll and stop, you can roll for how ever long you want to roll for. Or just do, like at the end of the song, the finale. That kind of a thing. So there's your basic tambourine roll."
