"I'm here to talk to you about other sounds that you can produce using this instrument. Even though it was designed to produce that one classic sound, with a little bit of experimentation, I find you can also kind of get a rattle sound out of it when you play it like a tambourine. Playing it back and forth you get the teeth to kind of vibrate back and forth between the top and bottom of this cowbell shaped apparatus on the top. You can also do this along with that rattlesnake rattle sound by bringing the ball into the palm of your hand. Here's an example of that. That's kind of the idea. Now, I've never actually heard anybody play the vibraslap just like this, but with a little bit of ingenuity and creativity on your part you can probably get this thing to create all kinds of different sounds for you.
