How to Strum Guitar

"Hi I'm Aaron De Azevedo, I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to teach you a little bit about the guitar technique called strumming. Strumming is one of the most basic, because it's easy, it doesn't require a lot of speed and let me show you how it's done. So basically you need a pick and you move it up and down the strings. That's all. With this technique, you can go into a little bit more advanced stuff. You can do it faster or kind of funky stuff, or can sit by the campfire and strum cowboy chords and kum bi ya. You can also do it on an electric guitar. Now the trick is you just want your hand to be relaxed and just let it glide up and down the strings like so. And with time you'll be able to strum faster. Just let it glide up and down the strings. And that is how you strum a guitar."
