"Hello, this is Aaron De Azevedo with Expert Village. I'm going to teach you a little bit about recording a guitar. So, first you need a guitar, obviously. Now, there's a few different ways to do it. I can do it the classic way, with an amp. I have an amp over here, my guitar amp, and a microphone. This is a good way to do it if you like the sound of your amplifier. You're going to need a microphone. Now here I have, it's called an AKG, sorry AKG C414. Pretty expensive though, this will run you about a thousand buck new. So, this is one way, and how we do this is I set up my microphone with the stand by my amp, and I can record the sound. But we're not going to talk about that too much. We're going to go into recording direct, which you'll find yourself doing a lot in home studios. The nice thing about this is I can plug my guitar directly into my interface, and I can record from there. So, for example, I just recorded that, and now I can go back and listen to it. So, that's a nice thing. What you're going to want to have for this is some type of effects-processor is nice. Down here on the floor, get that, I've got this, it's called a pod and it has tons of different sounds and amps in it. It makes it really easy. So, with the click of a button, I can change sounds, and then I can select my sound, and then hit "record", and then I can record and it's as easy as that. So that's how you record direct into your interface. Just plug in, and go."
