"Hello there! My name is Aaron Moon and I am here today on behalf of expertvillage.com. I just previously went over how to tune a standard tuning down to a drop D with your acoustics steel stringed guitar. Open; open meaning not pressing any strings down. It kind of sounds, well it doesn’t sound that great. It sounds a little more space, maybe a little more cohesive as opposed to open strumming of standard tune a guitar. With dad gad, we are going to alter some other strings aside from the low E. So dad gad stands for the notes of the strings. So we are going to start with the D, which we already tuned down; that’s a D. Next is an A. It’s the same; you don’t touch that. Next is a D, you don’t touch that either. The A & D, they stay the same. Next is a G that stays the same as well."
