"I am going to be talking to you about setting your gain based effects on your pedal board. So the first type of affect pedal you want to set your levels on is your gain based effects. In setting your tremolo pedal, it is really important sine the volume of the tone goes up and down based on the levels that you set the pedals on. It depends on how you use the affect pedal in the type of song that you are playing. If you are using it to mimic the tempo or the sort of speed of the song since the drummer that is playing in your band really determines the speed of the song that you are playing, you will want to have those settings before the gig. But like I said they can be changed in the transport of the pedals. The knob can be switched back and forth so you will want to make sure that all of your levels are set before you start playing. So the next gain type based affect that I have on the pedal board is the EQ. Now again, the EQ should sort of be set before hand, before you get to the performance because that sort of determines on the volume overall affect is going to be coming out of the amp. The individual frequencies that you set depends on the type of tone that you are going for but the overall volume, that can change based on the type of room that you are in or the type of sound system that the club or the venue that you are playing at has. If you need to be a little louder, maybe you want to turn up the volume of the level on thte EQ pedal a little bit more."
