"ALEX BOYE: Hi, my name is Alex Boye on behalf of Expert Village. And this segment, we're going to talk about the intros of your songs. Now, sometimes some people have really long intros on their songs. And have you noticed, they come up and there's songs like, [START SONG] "Dum-tu-tu-tu [END SONG]," and then they come on and they just done that, [START SONG] "Dum-tu-tu-tu." [END SONG] No! That sucks! Don't do that! Whenever I see that, it's just like the most annoying thing ever. And so, you need to have a plan just like when you're building a house. When you're building a house, you need to have a plan. You don't just like, "We're going to throw the toilet in. We're going to throw the rest of the bathroom here, just do that and we'll put that, you know, the living room in front of the toilet." You've gotta think about these things. It's the same thing even with the intro on stage. You only got one chance to make a good impression. So, with the intro, you're going to figure out exactly what you're going to say. And it's gotta be short and sweet. But write it down; honestly, I'll tell you, this is something that people really mess up on. The first impression, you will continue to gain interest of your audience if you just work out just that first part, it makes such a difference to the rest of the show."
