"On the bottom head here what you've got is called the gut head system or the snares. So what we are going to do now is take them completely off. So with this knob right here, we are going to do the counterclockwise lefty loosey turn until it is completely unthreaded. Now you can pull it directly through the other side and you are going to want to set it down on a safe surface. These are surprisingly one of the most expensive parts of the snare drum. I think each one of these sets go for about $70 a piece so you really are going to want to be careful and make sure you are not putting it down on a surface that is going to damage, scratch or something that is wet. So you really want to be careful when you going through the step. "
