"Now the next step is to actually apply the 4 stroke types to your general play so we are going to start doing that by just using simple accent patterns. So I am going to start up at 12 inches and I am just going to play the simple bucks exercise so that is just an accent and a tap. But is a little more difficult than once you start to try to apply the stroke type. What you are going to have is a down stroke starting at 12 and ending at 3 and then an up stroke. Now the bucks exercise once you start to get in the faster temp beat, it really kind of gets difficult because people are a little choked up and they are forgetting the up stroke. The down stroke is usually good but people are aware that they should be up stroking to buy themselves a little more time to bring the stick up and snap on the next down stroke. "
