" This is Salsa Mia at Yuka Lounge on South Beach in sunny Miami, Florida. You can find us on the web at www.salsamia.com. My name is Susan, this is Alex, and we’re here to show you the basics of salsa. Okay, what we’re going to work on now is on our turns with a partner. The first one we’re going to do is called Exceeder. Exceeder, we’re going to do it as we do our basic, our first salsa basic. Now men, what you’re going to do is you want to keep doing your basic, and what you’re going to do is you’re going to give the girl a clockwise turn. So you’re going to go 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7. Girls, you’re just going to turn in place. Guys, you’re going to start the turn as you go forward. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, forward and back. One more time, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, forward and back. Always remember to start with the left, men, and finish with the right. Girls, the opposite; you start with the right, you finish with the left, and as soon as you’re done you go to your basic. "
