Setting Up Your VCR

"Okay, now I'm going to talk a little bit about the VCR settings on your VCR. A lot of people at home will have their VCRs with their 12:00 flashing on and off. This is actually a very simple thing to fix, which a lot of people seem to think it's actually a little more difficult and it's not. You go ahead and grab your remote for your VCR and click 1 of 2 buttons, usually a menu setup or display button. In my case, it's the menu button. I'll go ahead and click that. It'll bring up my menu screen, so from here I can change any of the major settings inside of my VCR. So for now I'll go to clock setting. I'll hit enter. It'll take me into it. Now I have 2 options here. I have a manual input, and I have an auto input. The auto input will actually have the time set for you if you have digital cable plugged into your VCR. So in my case I do not, so I'll just hit manual. It'll take me to the date and time. So right now of course most of this is correct. I think all of it?s correct. It is February 18th, 2008, on Monday. It's 3:54 PM, so I can go ahead with the click of a button up or down to change the year, to change the actual date, the month, whichever one it may be, whichever one it needs to be. So I can go ahead and click through, change time to if for instance it was 4:00, I would just click up to 4 or if it's 3, I'll click down to 3. Once your done, you'll go ahead and press your enter button, and it will load your time. So, it's very simple to do your clock setting of course on your VCR. In your menu section, you can actually go through and have the channels automatically saved onto your VCR or whatever else you may need to do, you can of course set your timer on if you're going to be recording things on VHS still. So those are your basic clock settings of course for your VCR."
