How to Trace a Jack O Lantern Pattern

"Hi! This is Vincent Laporta for Expert Village. Now we're going to trace the pumpkin. Now, we can use 2 tools. We can use the toothpick like pointy apparatus here or we could use the wheel. It's a star wheel. This will make it a lot faster to do the large areas. With the smaller areas around the eyes and the mouth, we would use the one by hand. I'm going to start here and I'm going to put it right in our pumpkin. I'm just going to roll it and just trace the paper. Try to keep the shape like that. Now, we'll just continue. If you feel the detail is a little more difficult, then use the one by hand and poke it by hand if it's something that's really small. This star wheel is beautiful for large areas. It makes you do it a lot faster and you can cover a lot more of the pumpkin by doing it. Don't worry if you go a little off because when you start to use these saws, I'll show you how you can get around that. You just keep the same shape. If it's a little off don't worry about it because you can fix that with the saws."
