"MATT CAIL: Hi, I'm Matt Cail. And on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to be providing you with tips to make your travel a lot easier this holiday season. Because things can and will go wrong, it's important for you to keep a bunch of contact numbers for emergency situations on your person whenever you're traveling on Thanksgiving. Now, if it's a situation where if you run into a problem which changes your timing on when you're going to arrive or basically if it's a situation where it's just bad weather messes up your flight, you're going to want to make sure that you are able to call somebody and let them know. Maybe somebody is actually meeting you at the airport to be able to pick you up and take you home for Thanksgiving dinner. If you have a cell phone, that's great. Make sure you have some key numbers in there including whoever may or may not be picking you up, people you're actually going to visit, the car-rental place if you rented a car, also the airline. Oftentimes, airlines will have information hotlines for you to be able to call, so that you can actually check on the latest status of flights. That's very, very important given Thanksgiving which can have a lot of flight alterations throughout the day because of the high volume of traffic going on in and around that holiday, so make sure you have the information. You don't necessarily even have to have a cell phone. If you want to rely on the good old pay phone, that's no problem. You have a calling card, no problem. Just make sure that you have the numbers available for anybody you have to call in case anything goes amiss with your travel. "
