"MATT CAIL: Hi, I'm Matt Cail. And on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to be providing you with tips to make your travel a lot easier this holiday season. The most impressive travel plans of the past have sometimes been blown away by the weather. Meaning, Thanksgiving is in mid to late November, usually more towards the latter part of the month, and that means that a large part of the country is already starting to go towards that icy realm known as winter, which despite the fact it can be anywhere from three to four weeks later after Thanksgiving. It does not prevent snow and ice and other weather problems from potentially gumming up the works on your travel plans. Watch out for the weather. Make sure it's such real quick--there are tons of weather Web sites out there. There are other--it's on the news all the time. Usually, they will even have travel segments, especially around Thanksgiving. Make sure you keep an eye on the weather, what's going on with the latest developments, because the weather can cause massive delays at airports. I mean anything from as innocuous as fog, bad rain and wind, hail, snow. Definitely keep an eye out for the weather because you want to make sure that any delays you remain cognizant of."
