How to Choose Elements for Decorating for Christmas

"Hello my name is Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village, today we are going to show you how to decorate for Christmas. In this clip, we have moved outside. We are going to be talking about decorating elements for the outside of your home. Now when thinking about choosing elements for the outside of your home, depending where you live, do you get snow, you have to think about that. Are they durable where you live. You can see we have snow around up. Sometime where I live in Montreal, Canada we have heavy winds. So we have to durable and we have to be with, be able to with stand you know wind, heavy snow fall amounts and that sort of things. But also thinking about decorating as we said in earlier segments, pick a theme. Here we got some trees that we have lite here. Here we have wreaths, we have a couple of urns and each year we pick the same sort of theme. We build on that and we change a few decorative theme as the years go by. But you want to keep things simple, you want to keep things relatively elegant. I would recommend avoiding little designs. Pick a theme when you are outside and keep it simple. "
