Today we're going to be talking about how to cut down on holiday spending. In this clip, let's talk about shopping for yourself or not shopping for yourself. When we're talking about holiday spending and saving and budgeting, a lot of people go out and the way I holiday shop of course, is if I see something that I would like, then I obviously buy that for someone else cause I'm hoping they will like it just as much as I do. But the problem in doing that is you always want to buy something for yourself because you're out, you're shopping, you see beautiful things, you have to resist the urge. You have not only all of these people on your list to buy for, it's not about you, it's about all of these other people right now and about making a difference and about sharing the spirit of the season with other people. And it is not about just gift giving too, when we're budgeting we've got all of these different other things on our list. The decorations, and foods and all of these things to think about. So put yourself aside, try not to shop for yourself, just follow your list, follow your budget and don't shop for yourself, at least until you hit the new year.
