"Another area to collecting is the santa ornament. These are really popular, they're easy to find, they're affordable, they're a great way to start if you're starting with santas. This is an earlier santa you can see that it has some ware and the pike and it is really nice the cap is great so this type of santa you might pay about $85-$95 for it. But it's a really nice earlier santa here is another example which doesn't have the clip on it but this actually has some damaged to the pike here and you would have a clip that hung this on the tree straight up like this. With a clip underneath as oppose to this type of santa which is hung in a tree, this with a clip on it the pike isn't, it has a quite a bit of damage but this piece would cost you $35-$45 with the clip on it. Just a couple of examples and I got one more here that this is a nice example of a santa it has a lot of ware on it though and it has legs with boots. Someone actually put some kind of glue in there and these feet are usually are a little bit longer these chanels hangs a little bit longer for there legs. So I don't know what they really did here but they probably when they tried to reattach the feet they glued it just a little too tight and the feet aren't showing as well as they should. This is another example with a lot of ware the color is a little off here these tend to run around $100 when they're in good shape, the condition on this isn't so great. So this is about an $85 santa but you'll find that these santas range anywhere from very small 1 1/2 to 2" up to 5" long. You'll find these santas with big Christmas balls attach to the santa in all different forms, different colors, and different pikes attached from the bottom to the top and back. So there are a quite of ranges and variation for collecting these ornaments in the forms of santas and there's also a range in prices, so those are things to consider when you start to collect the santas."
