"Hi, I'm Tom Wright from Gingerbread Glass; on behalf of Expert Village. All right; on this step; we're going to make some cane, to decorate our Christmas ornament with. We're going to start up; we're going to light the torch; get it flowing here. We're going to take our clear rod. We're going to use...the colors I'm going to use for this are very Christmassy; I'm going to try and stick to this today. This is the traditional red, white, and green. You can't beat that. We're going to make the cane with the green. It's a forest green; in case you were wondering; because there are many of them out there. Make it a little thinner; a little easier to apply; a little bit more. That should be about enough for what we're doing. I'm going to take our clear rod, and I'm going to get that hot. We're going to take the green here, and we're going to apply it on two sides of the clear; thus, giving us a little spiral design. Get that a little hot. I'm going to pull off this front part of the green rod. Here we go; we're going to start out with the first side here, and we're going to take it down about an inch and a half. So we spotted one side there, and we're going to do the exact same thing to the other side. We're going to heat that up; draw it down, and there's that; we're going to heat that up. Now we're going to grab a scrap rod, and we're going to pull this out. We're going to take our scrap rod here, and attach it to the top; seal it up; get our cane nice and hot. Once it's glowing red; take it and pull, and we're going to rotate one hand just a little bit faster than the other one. This keeps the design a little more conformed; a little easier; looks nicer. We're just going to finish that off, and drag this down here; stretch it, and there's a cane."
