Summary: Learn how to mix red food coloring and corn syrup to make fake blood for Halloween in this free how-to video making fake blood and other props for Halloween.
"Hello I'm Matt Cail on behalf of Expert Village. I'm here today to show you how to make fake blood and other horror props. Let's start adding in our first color which is red. Take your red vile. A lot of stores have nice assorted color food coloring kits, which is great cause you don't necessarily have to buy a lot of it. Which is good cause were not going to be using a lot. For about every 10 fluid ounces I suggest putting in about 3 drops of red food coloring. Do this slowly and see how the red immediately starts to spread out almost like a cloud in the corn syrup that we have in our jar. Next, make sure you have the lid of your jar. The jar is no good if you can't seal it. Take it, seal it tightly and start to turn up and down. This does 2 things. First off, it makes a kind of interesting little effect in there. Secondly, you'll start to see the color already starting to merge and bond with the corn syrup. Keep doing this turning it up and down until you no longer have some of these red streaks in here. Those are gone and you have more of a consistency of milky red color throughout your jar. At that point it will be time for you to stop."
