Summary: Learn why waiting for quiet is important for telling a scary ghost story with expert tips on ghost story telling in this free video clip from an expert spooky storyteller.
"And they say he used this axe. Hi I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village I'm here to show you how to tell a good ghost story. Do you remember when you were back in 3rd grade and you had that teacher in front of the class and told everyone to be quite and stood there and waited for people to be quite? As the seconds roll by she's just slowly and steadily got angry and angrier well you kind of want to do something similar to story telling. You don't want to be angry or make people feel like they're back in elementary school but you want to make sure that people are quite to start your story. You do not want to start your story with people talking over people or even trying to compete with somebody. To increasingly getting to a yelling match that "hey I'm starting the story everyone should be quite", no, you're going to want to wait for everybody no matter how it happens usually it will happen pretty naturally where you just kind of wait. People are already saying "hey he's going to tell a story" so you just kind of sit there and maybe just kind of wait. Let the mood naturally hush before you start with your story you want everyone to be quite which can be a challenge especially nowadays, but they will eventually get quite. And want the attention on you and only you not at any side conversations going on around the campfire or other location that you have chosen for your story. So wait for everyone to be quite before you start the first word of your tale."
