“I’m bored. Can we watch TV?”

“Where’s my mommy?”

“Where’s the candy? Can I have more candy?”

These are just some of the questions children can ask at any given time. And if you happen to be hosting a kids’ Halloween party this season, you want to make sure that you have answers to all of these questions...because they do have a tendency to multiply if not answered quickly. Nothing can get out of hand faster than a room of children who smell fear. 25 kids versus 2 adults is a not a situation you want to find yourself in.

In this free video guide to throwing a kids Halloween party, learn tips on how to make it a great time for everyone, kids and parents included. Our resident Halloween expert, Matt Cail, will show you how to determine when to have the party, what music to play, how much TV—if any—to allow, how to setup and decorate the party venue (your home most likely), what types treats and candy to serve (and how much), how to make a schedule of party activities, and more useful tips. Don’t plan your kids Halloween party this year without watching these clips and making sure you have your bases covered. Once you’re setup and ready to go, have a fun, safe Halloween!

"Hi, I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village I'm here today to show you how to throw a Halloween party for your kids. So you have decided to take on the awesome task of having a Halloween party for your children; your house will be inundated by liaisons of little ones. Well to get ready step number one is setting a date of exactly when this party is going to be. There are two trains of thought for Halloween parties for children; the first is to have the party on Halloween. But this could be a problem if Halloween falls during the week. Some parties have been more of a pit stop for trick or treating, the children will stop by for thirty to sixty minutes, that is okay, but if you are looking to have an actual bonify Halloween party for your children but what I would do if Halloween is actually on the weekend, great, have it then. But, if Halloween is in the middle of the week say Tuesday or Wednesday, you don't want to have a party like that on a school night, that can present a lot of problems. So like parties for other age groups, I recommend going backwards the previous weekend, the closest to Halloween and picking out that Saturday or Sunday during the day for your party."
