Summary: Learn how to pick a cape for vampire Halloween costumes in this free Halloween costume video.
"Hi! I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm here today to show you how to make a vampire costume. And what classic vampire would be complete without the use of a cape? Often times when people even see people capes now days, they either think you're super hero or a vampire. It's really come down to those 2 choices. You can get a lot of capes again, at the same convenient stores where you can get your basic Halloween costumes. They are harder to come by in say a general clothing store or a thrift shop. Although some thrift shops do specialize in Halloween items, and you may want to check there first because people can get very pricey with capes if you're not careful. You of course also can homemake a cape. I've known several people who have taken some basic fabric and also some associated threading a weave, and they've made some pretty cool capes that way. If you don't have as much time, you can just go to the store and get your capes. A couple words about capes. Usually they'll come with a front tassel, which you'll simply tie at the front down at the bottom of your neck. Make sure to tie it tightly. The other thing to make sure is that the cape does not drag on the ground. This is recipe for 2 things. You'll trip and when you trip you'll probably hear a little bit of a rip because a lot of capes are not the best made, and then they will come apart when you start stepping on them or they go through a lot of serious wear and tear. Definitely keep this in mind for children too."
