Video Transcript

"Trick or treat, I'm Mat Cail on behalf of Expert Village. I'm here today to show you how to prepare for trick or treaters. Alright first thing is first, before any trick or treaters can get to your door you have to make sure you have a nice clear lit path to your front door. And you do this in a number of ways which can be accomplish by doing some exceptions outside of your yard. First off go to the outside of your perimeter of your property if you have a fence or any type of other barriers. Make sure that the gate that you have or this fence is unlocked. You can even leave it open to show the clear path within going to your front door. Sometimes when people see close gates they're automatically going to assume no they do not want me there and they stick to the houses that have a less of a way fencing. Next make sure that the path is actually going from your front gate or fence to your door is clear. Make sure there is no vegetations, cracks, potholes, anything to make it hazardous to children. Make sure it's well lit most are even by your own windows but make sure they can clearly see as they're walking to your front door. Something else to keep in mind is your automobile. Sometimes you might have your car parked right out front, people might not be able to see or your gates or even your path going up to your front door. Some make sure your car is out to the side, maybe in the garage otherwise out of the way."
