Summary: Halloween makeup techniques! Learn how to apply white makeup to your neck in this free video clip about making a zombie Halloween costume.
"Hello! I'm Matt Cail on behalf of Expert Village. I'm here today to show you how to make a zombie costume. Now, we're not done with our zombie quite yet, because if you're looking here you can see that there's a problem. Up here looks very zombified, down here looks like standard and alive. That is a gap we need to fill. In general, wherever your flesh is exposed, you should have at least a layer of white makeup down on it. Again, like the face, very lightly applied like so. We're going to extend the white makeup down lightly dabbing. Basically, we're going to fill this area in. Now, underneath on the neck down here is going to draw a lot less emphasis so don't feel that you have to do nearly as much detail, latex, and other gore work down on the neck and up to the ears because you don't. This is really just to make sure that of it's consistence and that the makeup just does not look like a mask up here, but actually extends down onto the other exposed areas of flesh. Now, another thing to keep in mind is there's limitations to this. If you go down too far, your clothes are going to be rubbing against the skin all night long and quite quickly the makeup's going to come off anyway. Make sure and watch out for areas where there's going to be a lot of clothes contact. Those areas often times are not worth doing makeup for. It's far better to actually button up a bit more and to close off some more. Limit some of that exposure so that the areas, which are not going to be in contact with clothes like the neck, are made up and constant with the zombie."
