"Hello! I'm Matt Cail on behalf of Expert Village. I'm here today to show you how to make a zombie costume. Starting at the inside of the eye and working outwards, apply a little thin line of black. Now, we're actually not going to end with this black, but we're going to shoot for more of a gray. Take this and immediately do not let the paint stay on here long and start stringing it out and blending it with the white. The result is supposed to be a hollow look, not solid black. We are not putting solid black underneath the eyes, but rather going for more of a gray look. We are going to repeat this activity underneath both eyes, also along the laugh lines here, and along some of the inner shadows of the nose. Also, depending on your subject, you really have to look at the bone structure here also along the backside of the cheeks. What is this going to do? This is going to create more of hollow gaunt look. Our subject has been dead. Some blood would have settled beneath their eyes and there would be other decomposing agents already at work. I cannot emphasis, go for gaunt, don't go for black and white contrasting."
