on 9/21/2008 Great ideas for inviting the neighbors. We have a Halloween party every year and all of my neighbors come over. In fact half of them help! It's nice because nobody's calling the cops.

"Hey! Hi! How are you? I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village I'm here today to show you how to throw Halloween parties for adults. With your party all prep it is important to ask yourself exactly what type of part you are going for here. Is it going to be loud music? Are they going to be guest of yours? In your back yard? Your front yard? Your side yard? In shore, is it possible that they can be a spill over that some of your neighbors can be impacted by. What you don't want to have happen are neighbors increasingly getting bumpy and then calling the police or who else knows and then complaining about your party. What you want your neighbors happy so what I recommend for your party this could be the day of or several weeks before even, it is really up to you go over and have a conversion with your neighbors and say hello, I'm such and such maybe you have not even talk to them before. A good opportunity to know your neighbors which in general is good. Tell them you are having a party, tell them that if there is anything wrong with it, if something gets to loud for them to come over and talk to you. What this would do, this makes them feel comfortable coming over and talking to you rather than calling the police. What you don't want to have happen are grumpy neighbors cutting off your party especially after the night hours. What you can keep in mind at that time it might be at the point where you want to lower the volume on the party anyways. The best thing maybe your parties are gamed, maybe your neighbors are gamed to come to your party themselves and know that they are having a fun time rather than at home getting increasingly angry.
