Face Stitches for Frankenstein Halloween Costume

"I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm here to show you how to make Frankenstein's monster. Without stitching Frankenstein's monster could not be. These two pieces of face from different cadavers would not stick together. Now we're going to add on some black stitching. The challenge here is to make sure and keep the effect relatively understated without overpowering the underlined wound. What I like to do is kind of quickly go over with the thicker pieces of paint. You can see this. This again is not very uniform until I get to the very end. This is about the consistency we want up here on this stitch. Back here these are little too blobby so kind of go back. The black paint at this point is going to look a little more faded. At this point, you can kind of shimmy the brush back and forth. This is a nice gray. It's a darker gray so it stands out. At the same time, it doesn't look as if you have black painted on the face. You do not want that effect. It'll come off or the effect will come off looking cheaper than you want. Also, you're going to have to make sure and have access to very fine tip brush for this effect. You're not going to want a thick brush. Otherwise, you're going to have stitching that looks a mile wide. Again, Frankenstein didn't have the best supplies, but he certainly had better than that. He was a doctor after all."
