Summary: Learn how to light and run sound for a haunted house for your Halloween party in this free ghoulish holiday planning video.
"Hi, I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to set up a haunted house. So how technical is your house going to be? How much sound and lighting is your house is going to have? I've seen lighting and sounds help a haunted house out. I have seen it distract and over all not coming off really well. Only you can decide how much technical elements you are going to interact in your house. Especially on sound and lighting. If you have a sound or lighting specialist that is great. If you don't, what I recommend is limiting to having some Halloween lights that you can buy at the store. You can have them strung along either the tops of your walls, along the walls, along the flooring; this not in the foot paths. You can have different color light bulbs that looks great. You can also make a really huge black light going to a hardware store getting one of those florescent lights holders and also getting two big rods of black light this would be much cheaper. Then the little tinny wienie black lights that they would get you at the store. It would be about the same price for about five times the impact of fact. Regarding sound again if you don't have a sound specialist, I recommend kind of two things, two tactics. First stop, I like having kind of a creepy sound track going in the back ground in one portion of the house. Then separate it hopefully in a entirely different area where the sound will not overlap too much. I like kind of having a fun sudden, more up beat sound track something with a lot of bass. This again, will add in some nice sound. The lighting effects but not go over the top of your house. Again if you are not a specialist, I don't recommend that going to much into a bunch of adventures in wiring. Also the last thing is make sure that your house is well lite enough where people are not tripping over themselves. Darkness can have its place but you don't want things to dark other wise people can be tripping and hurting them selves. "
