"Hi, I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village I am going to show you how to make a scarecrow costume. Next we start our wardrobe hunt. What are we going to wear as a scarecrow? And if you have ever been driven by a scarecrow or seen a scarecrow in a field they are hardly wearing designer clothing. So we are not looking for that. We are not looking for flashy. We are not looking for formal. We are looking for raggedy and old. People use older clothing for their scarecrows. Scarecrows are exposed to the elements wind, water, rain, sun, everything. So these clothing are not going to look brand new. If you have them they may be hand me downs. They maybe something you even otherwise inherited or got at a great sale that you thought was a great deal at the time. So first check out your own personal wardrobe to see if you may have any type of older or even rattier raggedy clothing that you could use for your scarecrow. Next you are going to hit your local thrift store. Why your thrift store? They are going to have stuff which is older. This is going to be cheaper. And they are going to have a lot of selection. Usually these places have a lot of different types of clothing. Tops, bottoms, everything that you can imagine. So definitely after you have looked at your own personal wardrobe go to the local thrift store to finish flushing out your scarecrow outfit."
