"Hello, I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to creatively carve a pumpkin. With our pumpkin face drawn on, now we can move on to carving. That had to hurt. What we are going to do is take, first, our sharper (sharp, sharp, sharp) knife. Not the big one, but the smaller one. And what we are going to do is basically going to slide it in to the pumpkin like so, staying inside the black lines. Now, we are not going to attempt to match these black lines with this knife. That's what the carving tool is for. But what we are going to do with this, is staying inside the black lines, we are going to make our work a lot easier. We are going to make it so the carving tool is kind of like shaving around the edges and not matching the eyes and that the eye is already largely cut out. Because this is just going to be a lot faster than a carving tool, and despite what stores may say...carving tools, they're a little bit hit and miss. If you use them too much, they tend to break. And, so this is going to kind of save our carving tools and keep that for the really detailed work while using our knife and being able to cut out a lot of the lines inside here. So basically, you are cutting out most of everything with the knives and you are saving the detailed work for your carving tools. Do be very careful when you are doing this. A little misstep here and you could be going to the emergency room for stitches. So please watch it when you are putting the knife into the pumpkin. "
