"Hello. I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you today how to survive a big family Thanksgiving. Another escape hatch, if things are getting really crazy and stressful in your household on Thanksgiving (or wherever you are on Thanksgiving for that matter) is to put on your jacket, get outside and take a walk. Forget about everything and everyone for at least fifteen minutes. Everything can just wait. The time you will save in just reducing your stress levels and the words you'll avoid saying because you are stressed will make your Thanksgiving automatically better. Even if the weather is foul (unless it is raining cats and dogs outside), try to get out. If you are really feeling that people are just pressing into your space and it's just too much and you're not having fun any more...Thanksgiving is supposed to be relaxed and chill and it's not, get out of the house or apartment, for that matter. You are going to feel a lot better if you can just get outdoors, put your hands in your jacket and just stroll. Get some of that nervous energy out on the pavement just walking. And it's kind of, you know, forget about everything for a little bit. Give yourself a break. Thanksgiving should not be a one-stop marathon from beginning to ending at a kitchen, at a table, or at one single dwelling. So definitely, if you are feeling claustrophobic and stressed, consider taking a walk to detach from your stress. "
