Summary: Learn why it's important to plan accommodations for Thanksgiving dinner to survive the holidays with your family in this free advice video.
"Hello! I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you today how to survive a big family Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a big travel holiday and it could be if you're having people over for you house, they may be crashing for the night staying there. At least Thursday night, they may even stay through the weekend depending on what you're planning on. Now, people like to gracious and open to folks. A lot of people are like, "Oh no, come here. There's plenty of room. Don't worry about it." Keep in mind Thanksgiving accommodations. By accommodations, I mean room at your dinner table. Do you chairs to be able to fit everybody. You don't want to have to exile grandma or grandpa out to the living room because you don't have any other chairs for them. More importantly, accommodations for people staying over. You don't want uncle Henry sleeping on the living room floor with his head against the recliner chair. That's just not going to do good. It's going to make for a very, very grumpy relative and you're going to feel bad too, and you probably should. Keep accommodations in mind. If you don't have a lot of room at your house, make that very clear from the get go. If you're going to somebody's house where they're really getting jam packed, they may be gracious enough not to tell you. Offer to go to a hotel or somewhere else for your accommodations for the evening. Odds are you're going to want to sleep in a hotel bad rather than sleeping on the floor."
