How to Make Valentine's Day Finger Puppets

"Hi, my name is Lanie Evan, and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you how to make some finger puppets for Valentine's Day. Let's get started. I'm going to start out by using two different colors of construction paper. I'm going to start with pink as the background for this one. Fold your half sheets of construction paper in half. You want to draw the biggest heart that you can fit onto the page. Take your scissors and cut it out. You're going to cut on the inside of the black line. Then what you have left is a large heart. Now take the second piece of paper, fold it in half and you want this heart to be a little bit smaller. What you can do is kind of eyeball it, and see that it's going to have to be smaller than this. Then take it, draw your heart, go ahead and open it up. Layer the hearts together, like this, and glue them down. Now that I've got that done, I'm going to add the little eyeballs that I have here, with some double sided tape. Once you have the eyeballs on you can add the little nose. I'm going to use a smaller nose I think. I'm just using a foam heart for the nose. Now you need to make two circles, or cut outs for the fingers down here. So what I'm going to do is kind of get a general idea and I'm going to put an x or a dot where I want those, my finger holes. I'm going to put a dot here, and a dot here. Then come over to the cutting board spot and use my exacto knife and draw an x. It's going to be optimal if you would cut out a hole for this. Now this is where your child would add their fingers for the legs."
