"Hello is this Marie French from Expert Village. Now we're going to antique or tin punched ornaments. Here you know you can keep the string on or your hanging device onto the tin punched ornament when you antique it. One way to antique it or actually take the film off is using vinegar. Okay and you just sort of let it sit and then I like to just place it outside and let kind of nature do its work. Another way is to put muriatic acid on. Now if you use muriatic acid make sure again you have your gloves on. Here I prefer rubber gloves and I always do it outside on a plastic tin so that the muriatic acid does not go into the ground because of course that is toxic and here we're trying to recycle, we don't really want to use toxic chemicals. So my preference of course is vinegar because vinegar is always easy to use, it is absolutely nontoxic and it's a great ant deturant so if you don't want ants in your house you use vinegar. So these are one of the wonderful ways you can go and antique your tin ornament. "
