We are going to discuss tin punching. This is an ancient art that has been practiced in Mexico and Center and South America for a very, very long time and it started because they had a lot of scrap tin everywhere because they would use it for the roofs or their houses or their lean-tos. So wanting to decorate as all human nature does, to find beauty in even the most mundane, they would take this tin and they started first by punching with nails, which we will do today. We are going to take it back to the very origins of when you would find tin, scrap tin from anything and decorate it. Now they did this because they liked beauty as everybody does. They would make frames, they would make candle sconces, they would make chandeliers, they would make huge murals all from tin and punching it. You can come up with numerous amounts of designs and beauty. Take a pattern from any existing piece that you have readily available at home. Take it from a magazine. You can take it from nature. And that is what they did. So come join me right now and we're going to start learning the steps to punch tin.
