Summary: Add something educational to your Easter gift basket. Learn how to pick books for the Easter holiday in this free video clip about making the perfect children's Easter basket.
"Easter was originally a very much, you know, a pagan festival focusing on natural elements; the return of spring, nature animals. That's how bunnies got associated with it in the first place. So, a not always obvious item to have in your Easter basket is something a little more educational or fun. Like a book on nature or something or other. The real world here we're talking about: Animals, fuzzy ones, dangerous ones, various ones. This can make a nice little extra add-on, one that's not intuitive to have in your Easter basket. Now, this is for a child. I recommend having books that have not only text, but a fair number of pictures involved here; bright pictures of the wonderful animals all over the world. This is great! When I was ten years old I got a cool Easter basket which had a book to this day. Actually this might be it! I'm holding it right here! It is a wonderful, excellent literary idea that people don't always think about. Now if you have a small Easter basket, you are going to need a smaller book. They have a variety of small little pocket books from a lot of book stores or department stores that you can also basically find these books at. These are really, really small, lots of little inspirational mottoes; they even have them for children now-a- days on a variety of topics. They are fun, they are little, they are cute and they will fit perfectly into your basket. So make sure and also have like a nice little funny reader option for your little kid or even for yourself this Easter season."
