Summary: Who needs Hallmark? Here are some tips on how to cut out little pink hearts for your own Valentine's day cards with this free video clip.
"So while our red paper is our primary paper to do our big heart shape pink paper and even white paper also can have its place it doing some nice little shapes for our card. And what I mean by this is doing some little hearts. These are not going to be nearly as big as our big beating red heart, but can be used for accents on our card. And again we're going to create this in exactly the same way that we created the red heart. We're going to make a fold. This is not going to be nearly as big. You can already tell they're going to be smaller hearts, they shouldn't be dominating. And then on this, I mean, you can be more cautious and draw them in stitch, but these are really small so it's okay if you want to just draw kind of a solid line. Again, these are not going to be that big. They don't have to be as perfectly shaped as your larger heart. But it's really up to you and whatever your comfort level is. If you want to draw them stitched in, by all means, go ahead. Now, one of the areas that is more challenging on the little hearts is cutting. You've got to go away from the tip and get a lot closer to the base because this is going to allow you to do some more of the detailed cut work. Now I like to rotate the paper clockwise toward me as I cut because this actually lets the paper do a lot of the work and I don't have to worry about moving the scissors around so much. The scissors are just slowly cutting forward as I turn and this will result in a nice, gradual slope of an angle. Boop! And a little pink heart breaks free. Now the various things you can do with this is you can arrange these on your larger heart. And you can see they make a very nice contrast for our card. These are additional adornments. I think they're a very nice extra option and its okay to have a little bit of pink in your card, even if it's for romantic purposes."
