"Ho! Ho! Ho! I'm Matt Cail, and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you today how to set up and decorate an artificial Christmas tree. And now it's time for the creme-de-la-creme of our Christmas tree, the paramounting piece, the top. Now there are a bunch of different options you can do for your Christmas tree's top piece. There are angels out there, stars, you could even plug in the lighted tops. I find that for an artificial Christmas tree, especially a small one, it's best not to have a top piece which is too overstated. So, I usually favor having a nice little winter globe with sparklies on the side. This will basically be like a nice top piece, but it won't be over the top. It won't basically dominate the rest of your Christmas tree. So basically, decide what works best for you. I've seen stars and angels also used, but the big thing to keep in mind if you want to go that route is size. Don't have it where you have a four foot tree and then a one foot tall angel or a big shooting star on the top. That's just going to look really, really funny. So, definitely consider size. Also, consider with an artificial Christmas tree, you may not want to put up something that is overly gaudy. You kind of want to go for more of a subdued, traditional effect. "
